For the past few years drummer Jeff Cosgrove has been developing his personal and interpretive style while performing in groups across diverse musical genres. Beginning like many drummers have, a young Jeff first began banging on pots, pans, and just about anything. He has been hooked on drumming ever since.
Growing up in the Washington, D.C., area, Jeff was exposed to all types of music, and that's helped him keep an open musical mind and shape his versatile style.
Jeff has performed with Rory Block, Long John Hunter, Ingrid Jensen, Hod O'Brien, Stephanie Nakasian, Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers, Alan Vezutti, Butch Warren, Bill Watrus, and Washington, D.C.-based artists Steve Abshire, Harry Appelman, Victor Dvoskin, Kris Funn, Benito Gonzalez, and Steve Novosel.
Through his studies with master drummers Mike Shepherd, Tony Martucci, Joe Hunt, Matt Wilson and Andrew Cyrille, Jeff continues to grow and excite audiences and his fellow musicians.
